Philadelphia has grown used to being the hunted, but with the team at 14-3 and among the NFC favorites, Nick Sirianni’s group has assumed the role of hunters.

In the hype video narrated by Eagles Hall of Fame running back LeSean McCoy, the Birds run with the motto, ‘Lets Hunt’ as they prepare to face the Packers on Wild Card Weekend in a rematch from Week 1.

Philadelphia and Green Bay started 2-2.

Following the bye, the Eagles won 12 of their final 13 games, while the Packers won nine of their final 13 games. Green Bay overcame quarterback injuries and drastically improved on defense. Philadelphia rode the dynamic wave of Saquon Barkley and emerged as one of the best defenses in football.

Eagles finish 2024 regular season with a 14-3 record after 20-13 win over Giants

After losing six of their final seven, including a playoff loss to the Buccaneers, the Eagles regrouped and won the NFC as the No. 2 seed and a 14-win team after a win over the Giants in the regular season finale.

Third-string quarterback and potential trade asset Tanner McKee was 27-41 passing for 269 yards, two touchdowns, and a 100.6 passer rating.

Rookie and former Clemson running back Will Shipley led the Eagles with 11 carries for 32 yards (3.2 average). Jahan Dotson was the top pass catcher with seven receptions for 94 yards (13.4 average), and Dallas Goedert had four catches for 55 yards in his return to the lineup.

The Eagles defense allowed 238 yards of offense and held the Giants to 4-14 on third downs.   Philadelphia will now await the Green Bay and Washington results.

A Packers win and Commanders loss to Dallas would set up a third Washington matchup with Philadelphia, with Lincoln Financial Field being the host site.

Star WR from Eagles potential Wild Card opponent carted off with knee injury

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson and Eagles potential Wild Card opponent was carted off with knee injury

The Eagles are about an hour away from knowing their wild card weekend opponent, but the Packers’ most explosive pass catcher could be unavailable for that matchup.

Christian Watson was carted off with a knee injury, while Jordan Love was forced to exit the season finale against Chicago with a hand injury.

The Packers must beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday to avoid the Eagles and face an easier first-round foe (the division winner in the NFC South or NFC West) as the sixth seed.

The Commanders must lose to the Dallas Cowboys.

Currently, Washington leads Dallas 10-9 with 5:07 left in the third, while Chicago leads Green Bay 14-13 with 7:34 left in the third.

According to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, McKee is the first quarterback with three passing touchdowns in his first seven career pass attempts since at least 1991. The Eagles are getting healthy at the right time, and ahead of the season finale against the New York Giants, the team activated tight end Dallas Goedert from injured reserve.

Goedert was forced to exit with a knee injury late in the Week 13 win, and Jeff McLane of The Inquirer reported that Eagles brass believed their star tight end avoided severe injury.

Goedert had three catches for 35 yards (11.7 avg) and one touchdown on the afternoon, moving his season totals to 38 receptions for 441 yards (11.6 avg) and two touchdowns before exiting.

Saquon Barkley offers an honest, heartfelt response to Eagles resting starters in Week 18

Saquon Barkley offers an honest, heartfelt response to Eagles resting starters in Week 18 saying he wanted to break Eric Dickerson’s record

Saquon Barkley’s quest for the NFL’s single-season rushing record will end at 205 yards after head coach Nick Sirianni announced that the Eagles will rest key starters in the Week 18 game against the New York Giants.

The Eagles completed a season sweep and captured the NFC East with a 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field. The win gives Philadelphia the No. 2 seed and no shot at the No. 1 seed after the Vikings’ 27-25 victory over the Packers on Sunday afternoon.

Minnesota (14-2) will face Detroit (13-2) in Week 17 for the NFC North and a first-round bye.

On Wednesday, Barkley offered an honest, heartfelt response to be denied a chance to chase history.

After gaining 167 yards on the ground against Dallas in Week 17, Barkley sits 101 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s record of 2,105 yards set in 1984. Barkley would set the record, and it would be associated with Philadelphia and Jeffrey Lurie’s franchise for years to come, if not decades.

Still, the ultimate goal is the Super Bowl, and a Week 18 bye week for Eagles starters from a gameplay perspective could allow this team to be rested and fresh. Washington or Green Bay are likely headed to Lincoln Financial Field.

Minnesota (14-2) will face Detroit (13-2) in Week 17 for the NFC North and a first-round bye.

The Eagles (2 seed) join the Chiefs (1), Bills (2), and Texans (4) as teams with nothing to gain or lose in Week 18.

Darius Slay wants the NFL experts to show Zack Baun some DPOY love

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay wants Zack Baun to get more attetion for a potential Defensive Player of the Year award

Zack Baun left New Orleans frustrated after being underused as an edge rusher. He was uncertain about his future and set on signing a one-year deal with the Eagles for $1.6 million.

Fast forward almost a year later, and Baun is a significant reason Philadelphia is 13-3 and roaring toward the playoffs after winning the NFC East. A standout who deserves a contract extension, Baun should be in the running for Defensive Player of the Year.

Baun, 27, started six games for the Saints last season, recording two sacks, an interception, and four quarterback hits. Baun recorded 30 tackles across 17 games in the 2023 regular season.

Baun saw a career-high 292 defensive snaps last season while continuing to play a critical role on special teams (381). The 2020 third-round pick was a core special-teamer since his first year with the Saints, but he’s yet to log more than 30 tackles in a single season.

This season, after beating out Devin White for the linebacker spot, Baun has posted 151 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one interception, five forced fumbles, 11 tackles for loss, four passes defended, and five quarterback hits.
