The Bucs destroyed the Eagles 32-9 in a playoff dismantling, putting up a dominant performance at home and punching their ticket to the divisional round against the Detroit Lions. We normally do a studs and duds list of players we deemed the best and the worst, but there was no room for that tonight — instead, like we did with the Jacksonville game, we’re showcasing five stars for the team.

Check out who we thought really shined in Tampa Bay’s big win:

Social media reacts to Tampa Bay’s dominant playoff win over Philadelphia

Bucs fans are celebrating after predictions of the No. 1 overall pick in the preseason turned into a playoff win at home for the Bucs.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers weren’t supposed to be here. And not only did they win — they won big.

The Bucs throttled the Philadelphia Eagles 32-9 on Monday night, putting up a dominant showing to advance in the NFC playoffs. The team was a three-point underdog heading into the contest, but that didn’t seem to matter much to them, as they got out in front of the Eagles and never looked back. With the win, the Bucs are now set to face off against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field for the Divisional Round.

The Bucs were counted out long before the season started, and the fans brought receipts. See what they were saying after the game:

WATCH: Bucs WR Trey Palmer hits the jets to score

The Bucs took possession right after an Eagles safety, and they made it count.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had an opportunity to do some damage after forcing a safety on the Philadelphia Eagles. And boy, did they take it.

The Bucs got the ball back up 18-9 after Hurts was called for intentional grounding in the end zone, and a few players later, they struck with a dagger. Quarterback Baker Mayfield hit wideout Trey Palmer on a pass, and Palmer turned on the jets. He evaded numerous Eagles defenders en route to the end zone, taking it to the house and putting the Bucs up 25-9 with just about one quarter left to play.

Bucs make two practice squad elevations ahead of Wild Card matchup

The Bucs are rewarding some of their practice squad players for their good work this season by giving them some playoff checks.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making two practice squad elevations ahead of their Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The team is elevating running back Patrick Laird and outside linebacker Jose Ramirez to the active roster on Monday. The two players have been staples of Tampa Bay’s practice squad throughout the 2023 season.

As Greg Auman of FOX Sports pointed out, it’s unlikely that those two will play in the game. The players will get a bonus for being active in the playoffs, and as a result, Laird and Ramirez are likely being elevated as an award for being solid on the practice squad for the entire year. The practice is common, and it’s one that the Bucs have participated in before.

The team’s inactives will be announced 90 minutes before the start of the game on Monday.

Former Bucs HC Bruce Arians to appear on ManningCast Monday night

Bucs fans who like the ManningCast will see a member of the team’s Ring of Honor on as a guest Monday night.

Anyone watching the ManningCast on Monday Night Football for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game against the Philadelphia Eagles will get to see a familiar face from (recent) franchise history.

Omaha Productions announced on Monday their guest list for the ManningCast, an alternate viewing experience for Monday Night Football that showcases Peyton and Eli Manning talking to guests while watching the game. Anyone who tunes in for the first half will get to see a member of the Bucs Ring of Honor, as former head coach Bruce Arians will be the first guest on the show.

It’s likely Arians will be in the building Monday, as he currently serves as a senior adviser to general manager Jason Licht in Tampa Bay. He’s most known by Bucs fans for his role in bringing the franchise a second Super Bowl as head coach — he served as head coach in Tampa Bay from 2019-21, and he won a championship with quarterback Tom Brady in 2020.

Arians is also no stranger to commentary, as he briefly served as a commentator on CBS in 2018 before coming out of retirement to coach the Bucs. In his stint with Tampa Bay, Arians put up a 31-18 record with five playoff wins and a Super Bowl trophy.

Lions devour clock, outlast Rams to gain NFC Divisional Round

The Detroit Lions edged the Rams and gained a home game in the Divisional Round

The Los Angeles Rams ran out of time … and timeouts. The Detroit Lions have their first playoff win in 32 years and another home game.

The Lions defeated the Rams Sunday at Ford Field, 24-23, in an NFC Wild Card game.

They were helped by Sean McVay’s decision to call two timeouts before crunch time in the second half.

Left with the two-minute warning and one timeout, the Rams could not stop the Lions.

The key play was a pass from Jared Goff to Amon-Ra St. Brown for a first down.

The Lions got the ball for the final time with 4:07 left. It took seven plays to run out the clock because the Rams were helpless against the clock.

The Lions will play host to the winner of Monday’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The other NFL Divisional Round game will see the Green Bay Packers at the San Francisco 49ers.
