Florida added another blue-chip prospect to its quarterback room under coach Dan Mullen on Saturday, as four-star Cartersville, Ga., prospect Carlos Del Rio-Wilson signed his National Letter of Intent.
Wilson is the No. 11 pro-style quarterback in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and he ranks as the No. 140 overall prospect in the class.
Del Rio-Wilson has good size for the position at 6-foot-3-inches, 215 pounds, and he had 40 career touchdown passes and eight rushing touchdowns through his junior season.

He competed in this summer’s Elite 11 quarterback competition, where he showed off both his arm strength and touch.

Despite solid strength, athleticism and mobility, Del Rio-Wilson has some question marks, especially with regard to his decision making and accuracy. 247Sports national writer Charles Power wrote in his evaluation of Del Rio-Wilson last March, “Can let his release get long at times and has a tendency to lock on his first read. Has shown some room for improvement with ball location in camp and 7-on-7 settings, missing low and behind at times.”
Del Rio-Wilson is one of two quarterbacks to sign their NLIs with Florida on Wednesday, as three-star Jalen Kitna, son of former NFL quarterback John Kitna, also signed.
He will find himself likely initially buried on the depth chart behind quarterbacks Emory Jones and Anthony Richardson, who each saw action this season with the latter redshirting. Barring injury, Del Rio-Wilson is likely a redshirt candidate in 2020, as well.
