Often overlooked, a pair of golf socks can really make or break a round.
A great round of golf can only be ruined by a handful of things.
A sudden change in the weather and a bad shot or two are to be expected and oftentimes something out of your control. One thing you can control on the course, however, is the comfort of your feet.
There’s nothing that derails a round like a bad pair of socks. Catching a blister on the back of your heel or having your toe poke through, opening a sweaty river in the sole of your new favorite pair of golf shoes can ruin your day on the course.
Socks are not often thought of as an important piece of equipment, but we’re here to change that. What other sport, besides distance running, are you on your feet for miles and hours at a time? Take care of your feet and you’ll see improvements in your focus, recovery and even in your score.

Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of both golf and the Ryder Cup itself, Ralph Lauren’s crafted uniforms are poised to evoke a sense of unity and camaraderie among the competitors while paying homage to the red, white and blue.
Ralph Lauren created a bespoke tailoring experience for an array of professional golfers, caddies and PGA executives at this year’s PGA Championship in Rochester, N.Y. to ensure all U.S. team members are fitted with custom-tailored uniforms and apparel upon arrival in Rome.
The brand will provide the U.S. team with uniforms, outerwear and tailored clothing to be worn during the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Dinner as well as upon arrival and during play.
Each garment is constructed with high-quality tech fabrics with moisture-wicking properties, stretch and enhanced airflow. Polo shirts are designed for any swing, while pants are lightweight and flexible.
There are two products exclusive to the Ryder Cup Official Uniforms including a lightweight tech half-zip featuring a new star ombre embossed pattern and five-pocket tailored trousers embossed with an assortment of motifs synonymous with the competition.
U.S. team captain Zach Johnson and vice captain Davis Love III are both Ralph Lauren ambassadors and these uniforms will hit close to home as they are used to supporting the iconic brand.
The 2023 Ryder Cup is set to be a showcase of high-level competition against the United States and Europe but also a celebration of style and sportsmanship, elevated by Ralph Lauren’s timeless touch.

The Tiger Woods Nike footwear line shook up the traditional golf shoe market back in 2013. Ten years later, the shoe that changed it all is set to be reborn. The first-ever Tiger Woods golf shoe was re-released earlier this year.
Although Woods has been spotted wearing FootJoy this year, Nike was a staple in his game for many years. Woods was a fan of the Nike Free running shoe and he wanted the Free’s comfort with the functionality of a golf shoe. Tobie Hatfield took his request and the Nike Tiger Woods shoe was born.

The shoe features a dynamic fit system with nylon straps to provide all-day comfort on the course.

Retro is so in right now, and these reinvented MC80 golf shoes from Adidas are no exception.
Adidas has reinvented the classic MC80, which was inspired by archives in the 1980’s.
The new MC80 is a spikeless silhouette that combines Lightstrike and Boost technology for added comfort and stability. The shoe features a leather upper with brogue stitch detail and croc texturing throughout.
The outsole features a Torsion bar to provide golfers with additional torsion control. Adidas included a technical spikeless TPU outsole for added traction with a rubber welt in the midsole to help round out the look.
Adidas’ goal with this shoe was to maintain the retro silhouette without the heaviness and clunky weight of the past design. The new MC80 is lightweight and comes with a flexible upper and Insite Pu insole to help with fit, comfort and stability.
The MC80 was first introduced as part of the Adidas x Bogey Boys collection a few weeks back through a limited-edition model. The in-line colorways will feature a classic white and black, white with pops of yellow and a special white and light blue colorway that will be available in limited quantities.
“Golfers today are very much intrigued by the footwear styles from the past, but they also want a shoe that can offer modern-day performance benefits out on the course,” said Masun Denison, global director of footwear, Adidas Golf.
“The personality and style of MC80 is primarily designed to give golfers that modern classic silhouette but we were able to include so many benefits that golfers don’t see. The biggest surprise that they will discover is how comfortable these shoes are out of the box, but then they’ll notice the stability and traction to go along the rich finish in the upper. It’s a unique model that we’re excited for golfers to experience.”
