A history of Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis sneakers in photos

While the Unicorn may be no sneakerhead, he sports somne fly kicks from time to time.

Much like his fellow new arrival to the Boston Celtics, All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday, former Washington Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis does not appear to be a massive sneaker aficionado given the paucity of images of the Latvian big man sporting some flashy kicks courtside.

But the Unicorn does indeed have a handful of shoes he has been captured donning on the parquet over the years of his NBA career so far before his arrival in Boston this summer. To such an end, we decided to put together another installment in our series of surveys of Celtics sneaker culture.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what Porzingis has worn on the court with the Celtics.

The UCLA alum has donned some pretty solid kicks over the years.

When it comes to the sneakerheads currently on the Boston Celtics’ roster ahead of the NBA’s 2023-24 season, new Celtics floor general Jrue Holiday has nothing on his star All-NBA forward teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but the UCLA alum has donned some pretty solid kicks over the years.

So we felt it necessary to include the former Milwaukee Bucks champ in our history of Celtics sneakers series that has previously focused on the on-court shoe selections of Tatum and Brown thus far. And while we only have a handful of sneakers to show you of his selections over the years, given he’s now a core part of this Celtics roster, we included the photos we could find.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what Holiday has worn on the court with the Celtics.

PHOTOS: Jaylen Brown mingles with fans as 7uice Brand and Johnny Cupcakes launch new collaboration

PHOTOS: Jaylen Brown mingled with fans and signed autographs as 7uice Brand and Johnny Cupcakes launched a new collaboration this weekend.

When All-NBA forward Jaylen Brown isn’t playing for the Boston Celtics, he usually has some sort of project in the works, and his latest venture is a collaboration between his apparel company 7uice, and the streetwear brand Johnny Cupcakes. Over the weekend, Brown played host to visiting fans to celebrate a new line of shirts.

The line snaked down Newbury Street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood as fans queued in the rain to meet Brown and grab some new gear. Brown signed autographs and talked with fans as they rolled through the store, posing for selfies and sharing laughs with visitors to the establishment. Johnny Earle, the man behind Johnny Cupcakes, was also in attendance greeting eager fans and taking photos. Earle and Brown were all smiles as the event came to a close late in the afternoon, marking just the beginning of what is an exciting project.

The partnership of 7uice and Johnny Cupcakes wasn’t the only exciting collaboration that Saturday. Celticswire was able to link up with photographers Ermis Martinez and Aaron James to capture some of the best moments from the event. Many thanks to Martinez and James.

Jaylen Brown, 7uice Brand collaborate with Johnny Cupcakes to offer new merchandise for fans

Jaylen Brown mingled with fans at the launch event for a new collaboration between 7uice brand and Johnny Cupcakes.

Boston Celtics All-NBA wing Jaylen Brown continues to plant deep roots in the city of Boston, this time collaborating with the clothing brand Johnny Cupcakes to create new merchandise for basketball fans and fashionistas alike. On Saturday, Brown hosted an event in the city’s Back Bay neighborhood to celebrate the launch of the new partnership. Brown signed autographs, took pictures, and modeled some of the new shirts for folks who showed up to check it out.

Brown has stayed busy off the court since joining the Celtics in 2017. He’s worked with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University to advance his educational goals and has helped provide opportunities to underserved youth through his 7uice Foundation in Boston and beyond. Through his 7uice apparel brand, meanwhile, Brown has worked to connect to the city’s cultural landscape.

Creative director for 7uice Malclom Durr explained that working with Johnny Cupcakes helps Brown’s mission of doing exactly that.

“I think that collaborations like this can kind of jump-start the work and energy within the community,” Durr said. “And then build on it and spread and spread. It’s all piece by piece coming together.”

A history of Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum’s sneakers in photos

Tatum has himself a sneaker deal with Jordan Brand, including his own signature shoe line.

Fresh on the heels of our survey of the history of kicks donned by star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown, we thought it prudent to do the same for his fellow All-NBA star forward teammate Jayson Tatum. Unlike sneaker free agent Brown, Tatum has himself a sneaker deal with Jordan Brand, including his own signature shoe line.

So expect to see a heavy Nike bias amongst the kicks that have donned the feet of the St. Louis native since he came into the league in 2017, but for about as good of a reason as anyone could come up with for such levels of brand dedication.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what Tatum has worn on the court with the Celtics.

A fan of throwback designs, this is a sampling of the sneakers Brown has worn playing for Boston.

If you ask All-NBA Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown his opinion on the current state of sneaker design, you might find out that Brown thinks that they do not make kicks like they used to, or at least that is what the Georgia native shared in a recent interview.

But that has not stopped the Celtics sneaker free agent from donning a host of different sneakers on the basketball court over the years, with Brown sporting everything from Nike and Adidas to custom sneakers created to honor all-time Boston icons like Hall of Fame big man Bill Russell and other causes.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what Brown has worn on the court with the Celtics.
