With another week of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ most important offseason passing by, another episode of “Bleav in the Jags” is now in the books.

This week, Jags Wire contributor Phil Smith and myself started episode 59 off with the controversial topic that had many talking about the Jags: Chris Doyle’s brief hiring. With him stepping down last week, we discussed why the hiring never should’ve been made.

Afterward, we dove into the draft with the Draft Network’s Justin Melo. Among the topics he touched on were his analysis on Trevor Lawrence, the direction the Jags should go with pick No. 25, acquiring Orlando Brown, and more.

Podcast: Discussion on Super Bowl LV, exploring idea of Jags getting OT Orlando Brown

In episode 58 of BITJ Phil and James recapped Super Bowl LV. Afterwards, they discussed a possible Orlando Brown trade for the Jags.

The 2020 NFL season concluded almost a week ago, which means the offseason is officially here for all 32 teams. With that being the case, Jags Wire’s James Johnson and Phil Smith started off episode 58 of “Bleav in the Jaguars” previewing Super Bowl LV where the Tampa Bay Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in impressive fashion.

Of course, the duo couldn’t go through the full episode without discussing the Jags and did just that on the back end. With a lot of discussions about Orlando Brown wanting a trade, the duo discussed what would be the proper compensation from the Jags standpoint. Afterward, the explored other options for the Jags at left tackle and ranked them.

Another week of the 2021 NFL offseason is behind us, and with that came another episode of Bleav in the Jags!

During episode 56, Jags Wire contributor Phil Smith and I spoke with former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Austen Lane, who is now the co-host of ESPN 690’s Action Sports Jax show. He provided us with an in-depth conversation about the outlook of the Jags as they’ve made some major changes this offseason.

Specifically, we spoke with Austen about whether hiring new coach Urban Meyer and general manager Trent Baalke were the right decisions, his time under new Jags coordinator Joe Cullen, the issues with developing downtown Jacksonville, and his thoughts on ownership. Of course, just as he has on the radio, Lane had some solid takes on each topic as the Jags have an important offseason coming up.

Podcast: Discussions on Meyer, Jags vacancy being the most attractive, and Marrone firing

The Jags Wire crew was joined by Aaron Smiley and Eric Serna to talk about the Jags’ offseason, which has been highlighted by Urban Meyer.

The first week of the NFL postseason has arrived, and while the Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t apart of the process, we’ve continued our work in the booth with “The Bleav in the Jags Podcast.” This week, Jags Wire contributor Phil Smith and I were joined by Eric Serna from “The Wait For it Podcast” and Aaron Smiley of “The Sports is to Life Podcast” to have a good old round table conversation about the Cardiac Cats.

Episode 53 started off with a chat about the firing of Doug Marrone, which occurred on Black Monday. Specifically, all members of the discussion talked about how Marrone will be remembered by the city of Jacksonville as he was one of the more respected coaches in the team’s history.

Afterward, we discussed why the Jags’ vacancy is the most attractive in the NFL right now as the team is searching for a general manager and head coach, at the moment. We then followed it up with a conversation about the Jags’ interest in former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, who looks to be the favorite to replace Marrone.

To hear our full conversation, feel free to listen to the media player below as the Jags’ offseason is going to heat up pretty soon.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will take the field against the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday for one of their most common annual matchups outside of their division in the last five years. In fact, Sunday’s game will mark their fourth meeting in five years and will be their eleventh in both team’s respective history.

To give fans a preview of what Justin Herbert and company are working with, Jags Wire contributor Phil Smith and I sat down with Izzy La Rue of the “Bleav in the Chargers Podcast” for our latest episode of the “Bleav in the Jags Podcast.”

Among the topics we discussed were Herbert’s rookie season, how former Jags coach Gus Bradley is faring as the Chargers’ defensive coordinator, Anthony Lynn’s run as head coach, and much more. We also finished the episode off with some score predictions as the Jags and Chargers are desperately seeking their second wins.

Podcast: Jags Wire recaps loss to Bengals

Jags Wire joined “The Bengals No. 1 Podcast” to recap what went down in Sunday’s meeting between the Jags and Bengals and discuss Joe Burrow.

The Jacksonville Jaguars exited Week 4 with another loss to a winless team in the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a game in which the Jags were ahead during halftime, however, things went downhill in the second half as the defense’s inability to stop teams reared its head.

Ultimately, No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow and the Bengals not only exited the game with the win, but a victory where they put up over 500 total yards offensively. In a year where the weekly total for yards allowed continues to rise with each opponent, that was good for the highest total on the Jags this season.

That said, it’s back to the drawing board for the Jags who can’t seem to dial up an effective plan defensively while the offense continues to show that it could be one of the better young ascending units in football.

Listen in to this week’s episode of the “Bleav in the Jags Podcast” by myself and Jags Wire contributor Phil Smith as we recap it all. This week, we were also joined by Dr. Hodgie and Dadio Makdook (also of the Bleav Podcast Network), who host the “Bengals No. 1 Podcast.” Both were kind enough to discuss the development of Burrow, Joe Mixon’s successful day on the ground, the Bengals’ future under Zac Taylor, and more.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a big game coming up Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and it’s one with huge implications. Simply put, a win would put them at first place in the division, something nobody thought would even be a thing for them when looking at the roster turnover.

Both teams were previewed in the latest crossover episode of the “Bleav in the Jags Podcast” which also featured the “Bleav in the Titans Podcast” hosted by Davey Hudson and former Titans defensive back Denard Walker.

In episode 34, the hosts of both teams specifically discussed the takeaways that came from Week 1, the keys for victory for both teams, and some predictions for the outcome of Week 2’s game.

Podcast: Jags Wire recaps Jags’ season opening win vs. Colts

Jags Wire’s James Johnson and Phil Smith look back at the awesome showing in which Gardner Minshew and company had Week 1 against the Colts.

With the Jacksonville Jaguars starting the 2020 regular season off on a high note and defeating the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 27-20, it was only right for us to record a victory episode of “The Bleav in the Jags Podcast” recapping all the action.

We started episode 33 off with a little box score review as Gardner Minshew put up and historic performance Sunday and distributed the ball well to all of his receivers. Afterward, we discussed some key takeaways like the defense’s been but don’t break showing that was just enough to beat Philip Rivers while also causing some concerns.
