Browns’ Joshua Dobbs evaded multiple Eagles defenders with superhuman effort on ridiculous run

How on earth did Dobbs stay on his feet?!

Whoever said the NFL preseason couldn’t be entertaining was dead wrong. With players all around the league trying to win jobs and rocket up depth charts, there’s always a potential for electric plays and fireworks.

We saw a perfect example of this with Browns QB Joshua Dobbs.

When Cleveland took on the Eagles (-1) on Saturday afternoon, Dobbs had the Browns offense driving downfield. That is before a second-down Philadelphia pressure threatening the quarterback almost sunk the possession. But not on Dobbs’ watch.

In one of the better runs you’ll ever see in the preseason or regular season, Dobbs evaded the initial pressure, lost pieces of his jersey, scrambled past multiple defenders (takes a breath), tight-roped the sideline, and still kept his balance in a ridiculous 36-yard effort you simply have to see to believe:

Oh my goodness. If that broadcast angle of Dobbs’ incredible run didn’t impress you enough, here’s a closer wild look at everything the QB had to overcome mid-play:

Man. “Real” football is only weeks away, but I’m having a hard time discounting Dobbs’ work on this run. I don’t know if it’s because the NFL hasn’t been around for a while, but it might be one of the better plays I’ve seen, regardless of the stakes.
