Broncos send perfect tweet after Tom Brady’s announcement

The Broncos wish Tom Brady well, unless he ends up in the AFC West.

Patriots pending free agent quarterback Tom Brady announced Tuesday that he will not be returning to New England this fall. Brady will become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday and he’s set to join a new team.

The Broncos’ social media team posted a perfect response to the news on Twitter.

“We’ve had some great battles against you over the years,
@TomBrady,” the team tweeted. “Best of luck wherever your football journey takes you next — unless it’s in the AFC West 😉.”

The Buccaneers have made Brady a strong offer but they are not the only team interested in the accomplished quarterback. The Chargers are also expected to make a push for Brady.

If Brady lands in Los Angeles with the Chargers, he would play against Denver twice a year. If he lands in Tampa Bay, Brady would play against the Broncos once this season (the Bucs are among Denver’s 2020 home opponents).

Brady is not expected to make a decision about his next team today.
