Four-star recruit, Omari Abor, The No. 4 edge rusher in the 2022 class according to 247 Sports composite ratings, has picked Ohio State as his destination of choice. The Texas native choose the Buckeyes over Alabama, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Abor is a nice grab for OSU and Ryan Day. Currently, Ohio State has only two signees on the defensive line and only one other defensive end in Kenyatta Jackson. The highly sought-after edge rusher stated that the way defensive line coach, Larry Johnson, develops players was a big factor in choosing the Buckeyes.
Recruiting analyst, Gabe Brooks of 247Sports compares Abor to NFL defensive end Bradley Chubb and projects him as a future second-round NFL draft pick. Abor possesses good get-off burst, but has room to grow. With Coach Johnson leading the way, he most certainly will.
