Earlier today wide receiver Julian Fleming shed his black stripe, but he wasn’t the only one. In addition to him, the first defensive lineman in the freshman class, Ty Hamilton, also was recognized and lost his black stripe this weekend.
“I appreciate y’all boys man,” Hamilton said. “I want to think my unit, thank coach J (Larry Johnson) for pushing as hard as I can today. Go Bucks!”
Hamilton committed to Ohio State as a three-star recruit out of the Columbus area Pickerington Central High School. Being one of the first newcomers to lose his black stripe says something for how hard he’s working and for the respect he has already received from the coaching staff and his teammates.
Watch as Hamilton jumps up, thanks everyone for the honor, then has that black-stripe ripped off by fellow veteran defensive lineman Tommy Togiai.
