Bills’ Tommy Doyle carted off vs. Steelers

#Bills’ Tommy Doyle carted off vs. #Steelers:

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Tommy Doyle avoided serious injury against the Indianapolis Colts in his team’s preseason opener.

It does not appear he was as lucky against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Doyle was carted off the field in the third quarter of Buffalo’s second preseason outing. At the time, the Steelers led the Bills 24-0.

A short time later, the team announced Doyle was not going to return to the contest.

Last week, Doyle sustained a knee injury but it turned out it was just a contusion and he returned to practice this week.

Against the Steelers, Doyle departed the game with his left leg in an aircast.

Doyle, 25, has been limited to only 12 games in two seasons. Staying healthy will be key for Doyle’s NFL future. Included in that is Doyle essentially missing the entire year last season due to an ACL injury.

Bills Wire will bring updates on all injuries as information is made available.
