Bills 53-man roster projection following first week of training camp

A Buffalo Bills 53-man roster projection with seven days of training camp practices in 2020 in the books.

Specialists (3)

Tyler Bass, Corey Bojorquez, Reid Ferguson

Cuts: Stephen Hauschka, Lachlan Edwards

Tyler Bass being drafted by the Bills was certainly a surprise and appears like it will mark the end of Stephen Hauschka’s time in Buffalo. His dead cap hit drops to $1.25M this offseason and in most cases a drafted kicker just has a leg-up (pun intended). Unfortunately since Hauskchka was blind-sided by the Jets’ Henry Anderson, he’s been up-and-down. Still, don’t fully count him out just yet. This battle has really been back-and-forth and no one really knows what the coaching staff is thinking here. Could Bass even end up on the roster with Hauschka for a few weeks while he settles in? Crazier things have happened.

Bojorquez has already beaten out Kaare Vedvik for punting duties, but the Bills replaced Vedvik with Lachlan Edwards recently. So far through a few days of training camp practices, Bojorquez has looked better, but there’s still time.

Reid Ferguson? Reid Ferguson.
