Big 12 Basketball: No. 9 Texas vs. No. 3 Kansas preview and predictions

Texas is eyeing a potential No. 2 seed with a strong finish to the season.

No. 9 Texas will host No. 3 Kansas in the Big 12 regular-season finale on Saturday at the Moody Center.

The Longhorns squandered its Big 12 title chances with road losses to Baylor and TCU. Kansas clinched the regular season championship and the top seed in the Big 12 Tournament with a win over Texas Tech.

Kansas beat Texas in the first matchup between the two back on Feb. 6. Freshman sensation Gradey Dick led the Jayhawks with 21 points in a 88-80 victory.

Rodney Terry needs to get his squad back in the right direction after struggling a bit down the stretch. Despite missing out on a Big 12 regular season title, a win over Kansas would be a significant boost to Texas’ NCAA Tournament resume.
