Barry Sanders seeks Twitter to help with LinkedIn ban

Former Detroit Lions RB Barry Sanders asked Twitter to lend him some help getting in touch with LinkedIn over a ban of his account.

Getting blocked is unfamiliar territory for Barry Sanders.

After spending 1989-1998 in the NFL as one of the most premier running backs ever, Sanders was used to being tackled, not blocked.

However, the former Detroit Lions face of the franchise found himself on the wrong end of a block from LinkedIn Thursday morning.

Hoping I can enlist @Lions fan support,” Sanders tweeted. @LinkedIn has suspended my account as they don’t believe it is me. Of course they have NO customer service so asking my fans to blow up their @X [formerly Twitter] account until someone reaches out to my team.”

Not only Lions fans, but football fans were helpful in getting the Pro Football Hall of Famer support. Here are among the best retweets.

UPDATE — According to Sanders on social media, he was able to get his account restored.

“TEAM SANDERS came thru,” Sanders wrote. “Linked In has restored my account.”
