Auburn baseball predicted to finish 5th in SEC West ahead of opening day

Ahead of its opening series of the 2024 season, Auburn baseball has been predicted to finish 5th in the SEC West by the conference coaches committee.

After a year in which they made a regional exit, Auburn baseball prepares for another season with high expectations set for themselves as they attempt to make a run back to Omaha. However, the coaches committee does not pit the Tigers as doing too hot in the 2024 season.

The SEC coaches predicted Auburn to finish fifth in the SEC West this upcoming baseball season in the preseason poll.

West division foe Arkansas was picked to win both the West and the SEC Championship. The Razorbacks received nine votes to win the title. Reigning national championship title series teams LSU and Florida each received three and two votes, respectively.

The Tigers open up the season on Friday, Feb. 16, against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Plainsman Park. They will start conference play on March 15 against the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville, while the 2024 SEC Baseball Tournament will be held May 21-26 in Hoover, Alabama.

Here is a look at the full preseason poll.
