Alamo Bowl: Players who are key for a Texas Longhorns victory

With the Valero Alamo Bowl fast approaching, we look at which Texas Longhorns will be key for a victory on Tuesday night in San Antonio.

Jacoby Jones, Defensive End

No first-team AP All-American in Joseph Ossai for this game means an opportunity for others to step up. One name that comes to mind is defensive end Jacoby Jones. He finished fourth in the regular season in quarterback pressures for this defense with 14.

There will be opportunities for both he and Moro Ojomo up front against Colorado, the question is can they take advantage? They need to. Their best matchup will be against Buffaloes right tackle Frank Fillip who allowed the second-most pressures on the team. If Texas can create pressure off the right side of the line, they should be able to get to Noyer.
