Alamo Bowl: Players who are key for a Texas Longhorns victory

With the Valero Alamo Bowl fast approaching, we look at which Texas Longhorns will be key for a victory on Tuesday night in San Antonio.

For the Longhorns success, it begins and ends with their quarterback. This season Ehlinger has willed this team to victories on more than one occassion. Against Texas Tech, Sam needed to score 15 points in three minutes to force overtime. Then did it again with the Oklahoma and Oklahoma State games. Ehlinger is key for a Texas victory because he just finds a way.

Ehlinger can be a factor throwing the ball or even running when needed. That is no secret as he has done it his entire career. Against Colorado, he will likely need to do it again to give Texas their fourth bowl win in four years. Ehlinger will have been on the field for all four of the bowl games. Plus if he decides to leave after the season, what a way to go out for the Austin native.
