Analysis: Florida State grad transfer Landon Dickerson was a crucial pickup for Alabama prior to the 2019 season. After spending most of his career at either right guard or right tackle for the Seminoles, the North Carolina native made the move to center for the Tide four games into the season.

And while his more natural position might be right guard, he did continue to get better at center as the season wore on. His physical style of play — with sometimes costly due to unnecessary penalties — was helpful in Alabama establishing a dominate run game with Najee Harris.

The question, much like with Deonte Brown, is where will Dickerson play in 2020? He could stick around at center, but it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see him kick back out to right guard if redshirt freshman Darrian Dalcourt — or veteran Chris Owens — proves to be an effective option at center.

The good part about Dickerson is that he could more than likely play four of the five offensive line positions if need be — with the only concerning question mark being left tackle.
