The NCAA transfer portal has taken its fair share of players from Nate Oats and the Alabama men’s basketball team, but this time the tables have turned. On Thursday afternoon, the Tide received a major roster boost via the portal in Ohio transfer Mark Sears.
The Muscle Shoals native averaged 19.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists last season with the Bobcats. Sears’ play earned him All-MAC honors. Sears will bring great experience to an otherwise mostly inexperienced backcourt for the Tide in 2022.
That is going to wrap up our Friday edition of Alabama Morning Drive. I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend.
