Alabama baseball drops first midweek game of season with 4-3 loss to UAB

Errors lead to Alabama’s first midweek loss of the season!

Alabama baseball’s midweek winning streak in the 2023 season has officially come to an end. After an error-filled out on Tuesday night, the Crimson Tide dropped an extra inning matchup to the UAB Blazer, 4-3.

Alabama took an early 2-0 lead thanks to a two-run home run by Andrew Pinckney in the top of the second. The Tide would hold that lead until an error in the fifth allowed the Blazers to score two unearned runs to tie things up.

The Tide and Blazers would battle it out for 11 innings until a grounder to first was missed, allowing the winning run to score.

Alabama drops to 26-12 on the season and has a crucial SEC series on the road at Missouri this weekend.
