The Aggie Baseball team will have a lot of new faces on the diamond as well as on the coaching staff. While in no particular order, D1Baseball has released its list of the top college assistants for next season. Aggie coaches Nolan Cain (Associate Head Coach), Michael Earley (Hitting Coach), and Max Weiner (Pitching Coach) all made the Top 100 list, which bodes well for the team.
Below is what head coach Jim Scholssnagle had to see about each hire during their announcements.
Nolan Cain’s promotion:
“Nolan has been the glue to our program over the past two years and especially over the past few weeks,” Schlossnagle stated. “He has more than earned this promotion and has continued to prove his incredible value both on the field and on the recruiting trail. We are excited to have Nolan and his family in Aggieland for a long time!”
Michael Earley’s promotion to full-time position:
“First and foremost, we are very thankful to our administration and Ross Bjork for their continued commitment to have what we consider the most talented coaching and support staff in college baseball,” Schlossnagle said. “Coach Earley and his family are an integral part of our program both on and off the field and he is most surely a rising star in our industry. I am excited to see his role in our program grow over time.”
Max Weiner hiring:
“We are excited to welcome Max to Aggieland and look forward to his impact on the growth and development of our pitching staff both on and off the field, He has been at the forefront of the incredible transformation of the Seattle Mariners organization over the past few years.”
