US LBM Coaches Poll updated after Week 5. How did Georgia’s loss impact Ohio State?

Do you think Ohio State should have landed in a different spot this week? #GoBucks

About this time every week, we get a new look at the US LBM Coaches Poll. So far this season, Ohio State has been among the top three and hasn’t really done much to move one way or another.

However, there was a sizeable game over the weekend with Alabama and Georgia facing off, so there had to be some ramifications from whatever happened, right? Well, yes. However, the impact had more to do with the Tide moving up and leapfrogging the Buckeyes with a win over the No. 1 team than OSU being able to move closer to the top of the poll.

I mean, the Bucks put a hurtin’ on Michigan State on the road.

The latest poll has Ohio State remaining at No. 3, right behind new No. 1 Texas, and newly minted, No. 2 Alabama. The top ten behind those three are Tennessee (4), Georgia (5), Oregon (6), Penn State (7), Miami (8), Missouri (9), and Michigan (10).
