The Kansas City Chiefs had no problem scoring points on the first offensive drive of the second half during their Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
After Justin Watson gave Patrick Mahomes a chance to push the ball downfield after a clutch third-down catch, the reigning MVP methodically dissected the Vikings secondary before finding rookie receiver Rashee Rice for a touchdown.

This catch constituted Rice’s second touchdown in the NFL and helped push Kansas City’s lead to seven points after Harrison Butker converted the point after try after the score.
Connections like this have become routine for Rice, and while he has had difficulty getting into the end zone, the rookie has become one of Mahomes’ favorite targets near the goal line.
Watch for Rice to get more involved in Kansas City’s offense as the Chiefs seek to secure their fifth win of the season with a strong second-half performance.
