With a little under a month until the first game of the season, it’s time to start seeing who will step up and be able to contribute on the field. Freshman Luke Montgomery is trying to do just that and has taken another step in the right direction when he shed his black stripe on Saturday.
Ohio State is working hard to figure out the offensive line after losing three starters to the NFL draft this past spring. Rumor has it that the true freshman Montgomery is making some noise and is pushing to get playing time right away.

Montgomery in an in-state product and was the No. 5 overall prospect at the tackle position. He joins Josh “Jimmy” Simmons and Victor Cutler as the most recent offensive linemen to lose the black stripe and be officially welcomed to the Brotherhood.
