The hype surrounding [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] early enrolling freshman [autotag]Carnell Tate[/autotag] has been building all spring.
For the majority of the Scarlet and Gray spring game, Tate was held in check. That ended during the third quarter when presumed starting quarterback [autotag]Kyle McCord[/autotag] found Tate on a pretty throw into the end zone for the first score through the air.
It was a great finish for Tate’s first spring, one that could very well vaunt him into a solid role during the season. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 180-pound receiver was rated ninth best at his position and 59th overall according to the 247Sports composite.
