Former Alabama running back Brian Robinson Jr. was a player that had been on roster for the Crimson Tide for quite some time, but hardly ever heard his number called. Well, it was seemingly worth the wait, because in his senior season, Robinson was the lead back and showcased to the nation what he is capable of.
Now, as he prepares for the 2022 NFL draft, it is important to realize he is not as highly touted as Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris, who both recently were selected in the first round. Robinson joins a draft class of talented running backs, which understandably leads to a lower projection.
Recent mock draft project Robinson to be drafted sometime early on day No. 3, between the fourth and fifth round.
Mike Phillips of Fansided projects Robinson to be drafted in round No. 4 to the New York Giants, while Pro Football Networks’ Ian Cummings also has Robinson being drafted in the fourth, but by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Finally, Justin Fried of The Jet Press, believes Robinson’s name will be called in round No. 5 by the New York Jets.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover former Alabama players throughout the offseason as they prepare for the 2022 NFL draft.
