The Philadelphia 76ers got some more reinforcements on Saturday as they welcomed Matisse Thybulle back from the health and safety protocols after he missed seven games as the Sixers missed his defensive acumen. However, with Joel Embiid still out, Philadelphia is still a shorthanded group.
The road trip continued on Saturday for the fourth game of the trip against the Portland Trail Blazers and they really felt the absence of Embiid in this one. While the Blazers could rely on their star duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, the Sixers were attempting to win with a team effort to overcome the loss of Embiid and they came up short 118-111 on the road.
Tobias Harris had a big night as he had 28 points and eight rebounds to lead Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxey had 26 and eight assists, Georges Niang had 15 points, and Thybulle had nine off the bench. Seth Curry added 10 points and Shake Milton had six while Charles Bassey also added six and six rebounds.
