Penn State came into the ‘Shoe and was a motivated bunch that played with a lot of effort and purpose, looking to spring the upset over a top-five ranked Ohio State squad that seemed to be firing on all cylinders.
At the end of the day though, the Nittany Lions weren’t able to get it done. OSU struggled early moving the ball and had to absorb some pretty long drives that mixed in some good playcalling, but the Buckeyes finally found some things on both sides of the ball to come out with a hard-fought 33-24 victory.
We always like to check in with what the opposing coach has to say about Ohio State after the game, and one of our favorites is James Franklin because you never know what kind of fiery, misguided speech you’re going to get from him.
In this case, there weren’t many rah-rah controversial things he said, but he did meet briefly with the media in the tunnel of the ‘Shoe to address questions about the loss and we wanted to share it with you. If you didn’t hear his postgame comments, click on the below from the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel and listen to what Franklin had to say about the Buckeyes.
He gave OSU credit for being a good team, talked about the turnovers they forced, was proud of his team’s effort, and more.
