The Philadelphia 76ers have gotten off to an up and down start to the 2021-22 season as there have been some really good moments, but then at times, they have looked very disorganized. They looked like both sides of that on Thursday as they took on the Detroit Pistons at home.
The Sixers struggled with the lowly Pistons at the beginning of the game as they found themselves trailing early, but then Joel Embiid kicked it into high gear and made sure the Sixers would get back on track. Embiid finished with 30 points and 18 rebounds as the team bounced back with a 110-102 win over the Pistons at home. Philadelphia again had some trouble finishing in this one as Detroit pulled to within five after trailing 100-78, but the Sixers were able to come away with the win.
Tobias Harris was efficient again as he added 17 points on 7-for-13 shooting and six rebounds, Tyrese Maxey stuffed the stat sheet a bit with 16 points, six assists, and six rebounds, Seth Curry added 12 and five rebounds, and Shake Milton returned with 13 and five assists off the bench.
