Finally.
We’ve been waiting for a visit from the biggest prize in the 2021 recruiting cycle to make his official trip to Ohio State known, and it appears as though it is now locked in. According to Jeremy Birmingham of Lettermen Row, five-star defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau will be visiting the Buckeye program the weekend of June 18-20.
Tuimoloau has been very quiet about his recruiting process and held off committing to a program through the early and traditional signing periods. His family has been very vocal about him wanting to make visits to his final schools before making a decision. In addition to Ohio State — Alabama, Oregon, USC, and Washington are also in the mix.
OSU is considered a slight favorite right now to land the 6-foot, 4-inch, 277-pounder, but it is a tenuous one at best because of how little information is available. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Tuimoloau is rated as the No. 2 defensive lineman and third overall prospect in the entire class. 247Sports own ranking system has him as the top prospect overall.
Needless to say, it would be a huge get for Ohio State to lure one of the most talented kids in the class to campus to play under Larry Johnson.
It's time for #TalkingStuff and it's time for J.T. Tuimoloau to make his long-awaited visit to Ohio State. @Birm and @spencerholbrook have thoughts on that, 2023 QB recruiting and more, presented by @ByersAuto https://t.co/gMFd9B8kgQ

We’ll obviously keep an eye on this huge, impactful visit of the lone remaining priority target still out there for the 2021 class to see how things go. For now though, one of the most watched recruiting stories in recent years appears to be rounding the corner towards the home stretch.
