With so much talent in the cupboard at the wide receiver position, does Ohio State really need another top-tier wideout? The short answer is yes. And Kaleb Brown, once thought to be a Michigan lean, might be the next one Brian Hartline lures to Columbus.
Brown hails from Chicago and is the No. 6 rated receiver in the 2022 class according to 247 Sports composite rankings. The Buckeyes already have commitments from the No. 4 and No. 19 ranked 2022 pass catchers in Caleb Burton and Kyion Grayes.
With recent transfers of Mookie Cooper and Jameson Williams, it opens up the door to add more talent. College football is a revolving door with graduation, players leaving early for the NFL, and now more than ever before with the transfer portal.
Picking up a player of Brown’s caliber would add to an already great receiving class. Just check out his one-handed snag from Michigan recruit J.J. McCarthy.

Speaking of Michigan, Ohio State has been picking up steam with Brown’s recruitment. There have been several crystal ball picks that have swung in the Buckeye’s favor.
In a rivalry that lasts 365 days a year, a commitment from Brown would be another dagger in the heart for TTUN. As an Ohio State fan, what could be better?
