Texas recently extended an offer to an intriguing defensive lineman prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
Three-star defensive tackle Hero Kanu announced on Thursday that he received an offer from the University of Texas. The 6-5, 293-pound athlete was born in Germany and played in his first high school game in the United States earlier this month.
Although he grew up playing soccer overseas, it didn’t take long for Kanu to make his presence known as a football player for Santa Margarita Catholic High School in California. In the last two weeks, 10 different Power Five programs have extended an offer.
Kanu is currently rated the No. 62 defensive tackle in the 2022 cycle and a top 70 overall prospect from the state of California. His recruitment should continue to skyrocket in the coming weeks.
