We told you last week that all signs are pointing to one of the top prospects in the country signing with The Ohio State football team. However, it looks like those plans are being put on hold.
J.T. Tuimoloau is the No. 1 rated player in the nation according to 247Sports and would pair nicely with another stud defensive end in Jack Sawyer who is ranked No. 5 in the nation. Larry Johnson has to be licking his chops just thinking about having these two together. However, locking in Tuimoloau may go longer into the spring than what was hoped for.
Tuimoloau’s father, Ponce Faletoi stated that his son and the rest of the family want to make visits to potential schools to make certain they are making the right decision. Of the top five schools on his trimmed list, visits have already been made to Washington, Oregon, USC, and Alabama. Faletoi said that they want to visit Ohio State for the first time and Alabama one more time as a family before making the final decision.

247Sports still has Tuimoloau as a 100 percent crystal ball to Ohio State, but this has to be an uneasy feeling for the OSU coaching staff as all they can do at this point is wait and see. Here’s to hoping that the experts know what they’re talking about.
