You can never have a shortage of talented quarterbacks. And in the case of Ohio State, they are assembling an embarrassment of riches for the upcoming arms race in Columbus. And now, the Buckeyes have another one.
Former Texas five-star quarterback commit for the 2022 class, Quinn Ewers, opened up his commitment here recently and the rumors all pointed to him looking toward the banks of the Olentangy. Now, that has become reality.
On Thursday, Ewers made that official and announced his verbal commitment to Ohio State on his Twitter account. But first, just a little about Ewers. At 6-foot, 3-inches, and 195-pounds, the nation’s No. 1 rated pro-style and No. 2 national recruit in the class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, is out of Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, TX.
Ewers has a big arm and a pocket presence, but also has the mobility to keep plays alive and even gobble up some yards on the ground with his ahleticism.

With the news of Ewers, Ohio State will now have three five-star quarterbacks and one high-four star competing for the starting job once Justin Fields rides off into the NFL sunset.
