Texas is now targeting four-star cornerback Malik Muhammad out of the 2023 recruiting class.
On Monday, Muhammad announced that he’s officially received an offer from the Longhorns. He’s the No. 5 player at his position and a top 10 prospect in the 2023 class according to 247Sports.
The Dallas native already has an impressive list of offers that includes other Big 12 programs such as Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. Two of Muhammad’s cousins have played football at Oklahoma State, therefore the Cowboys may be the early frontrunner.
Muhammad is a two-sport athlete in football and track and field (100 meters, relays, long jump, triple jump) at South Oak Cliff High School. The 6-foot-0, 170-pound cornerback will likely attract several more offers throughout his recruiting cycle.
