Week 9 Amway Coaches Poll: Texas on the verge of being ranked after upset win over Oklahoma State

Texas pulled off its biggest win of the season, beating Oklahoma State on the road in overtime. Despite back to back wins, the Longhorns remains unranked in the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

The Cowboys were the last undefeated team left in the Big 12 and ranked as high as No. 6. Mike Gundy’s squad is still the highest-ranked conference team but falls six spots to No. 12.

Iowa State (No. 17) is the only ranked team left on Texas’ schedule. Kansas State dropped out after losing to West Virginia by 27. Of the four Power Five conferences who have begun their season, the Big 12 has the fewest amount of schools ranked.
