The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins. Ingram-Dawkins is a four-star recruit.
247Sports considered him to be the best player in the state of South Carolina. Ingram-Dawkins committed to the Bulldogs instead of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Ingram-Dawkins is in the class of 2021 and plays football at Gaffney High School. Gaffney is one of the top high school programs in South Carolina.
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was also considering UNC & Tennessee, but put the Dawgs and Gamecocks in his final two.
This commitment hurts for Will Muschamp and the South Carolina Gamecocks, who’ve had a brutal week. Following a big win over Auburn, the LSU Tigers beat USC 52-24. Now, South Carolina loses the best recruit in their state to an SEC East rival. Rough times for a team with a recruiting class that is barely rated in the top fifty in the country.
Ingram-Dawkins has the size and length to win battles in the trenches at six-foot-five, 290 pounds. He joins Marlin Dean as the two defensive tackle commitments for the Bulldogs in the class of 2022.
Kirby Smart and Dan Lanning are building an elite recruiting class on the defensive side of the ball. Now, the Bulldogs are much closer to having a top-five rated class in the country.
Ingram-Dawkins committed to the Georgia Bulldogs via his Twitter account. It’s an exciting day for the young man from South Carolina.
