Texas Longhorns vs Baylor Bears: Third quarter recap

Going into the fourth quarter, UT is up 27-3, their biggest lead in all of Big 12 play. Sam Ehlinger powered in for two rushing touchdowns.

Texas’ opening drive of the second half was an excellent one, going 75 yards in 12 plays and just over 4:30. Sam Ehlinger punched in into the endzone from a yard out, his sixth rushing touchdown of the season.

Two drives later, the quarterback got another score from nine-yards out.

Texas’ defense has stepped up, shutting Baylor out in the third quarter. The Bears have gone three and out and missed a 43-yard field goal. Quarterback Charlie Brewer was four for six in the quarter.

Injuries have been a concern for Texas all game. Jack Joseph Ossai left the field before the first half ended but returned to the sideline after the break. Ehlinger was also in the medical tent at one point and was seen limping on the sideline. The quarterback has remained in the game.
