Week 6 Amway Coaches Poll: Texas falls out after Red River catastrophe

After Texas’ second loss of the season, they fall out of the Amway Coaches Poll. It is the first time this season Texas will not be ranked.

Tom Herman has coached against Oklahoma five times during his time at Texas and has lost four of them. Saturday’s loss was the most difficult of them to swallow, losing in four overtimes.

After the Longhorns’ second loss of the season, they fall out of the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. It is the first time this season Texas will not have a ranking next to their name.

After their Red River Shootout win, Oklahoma remains unranked, receiving 87 votes. Oklahoma State remains the highest-ranked Big 12 team after a bye week at No. 7, while Iowa State rises up to No. 20. Kansas State jumps into the polls at No. 22.
