On Monday, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones was named the SEC’s offensive player of the week.

On Monday, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones was named the SEC’s offensive player of the week after his impressive performance against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday.

Jones, went 20-of-27 for 435 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 INT. His career-best 435 yards, the fourth-most in a single game in Alabama history.

He also finished the game with a passer rating of 250.9 and averaged 21.8 yards per completion.

Jones finished last season 3-1 as a starter.  And by end of the season, Jones had a quarterback rating (186.8) that ranks as the highest of any returning signal-caller (minimum four starts) in the SEC for 2020.

Jones also finished last  season with 1,503 yards passing, 14 TDs, and 3 INTs.
