ESPN names Alabama the ‘most entertaining team for 2020’

It makes sense that ESPN would indeed name the Alabama Crimson Tide the most entertaining team of 2020, because well, they are.

If you’re an Alabama fan, this isn’t a shock at all is it?

Nope.

I mean think about it.

You have a team who lost two games last year who is on a mission to return to the College Football Playoff.

You also have DeVonta Smith, Najee Harris, Dylan Moses, and Mac Jones returning to do their best to make Alabama’s dreams of another national title come true.

So, it makes sense that ESPN would indeed name the Alabama Crimson Tide the most entertaining team of 2020.

Here’s what ESPN had to say about the Crimson Tide:

“The Crimson Tide have been a must-watch every year for more than a decade, and that’s not changing this season.

Alabama had nine players drafted in the first three rounds of the 2020 NFL draft, and are still the standard of college football. When there’s a large exodus of talent, there’s always another wave ready to take over and make a name for themselves.

Mac Jones takes over at quarterback for Tua Tagovailoa, and he has looked promising in his three starts after Tagovailoa’s season-ending hip injury. He’ll be operating with two of the best wide receivers in the league in Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith, with Najee Harris pounding the rock in the backfield. And if for whatever reason it doesn’t work out with Jones, freshman five-star recruit Bryce Young might make the Tide even more exciting to watch.

Injuries devastated their defense in 2019, and this year’s group should be prime for a bounce-back season in 2020. With an all-SEC schedule, Alabama is going to be an easy source of entertainment every Saturday that we have football this season.

Alabama never needs any sort of added motivation to be great, but after a 2019 that resulted in just a Citrus Bowl win, there’s no doubt they’ll be playing with a little more intensity to get back into the playoff.”

Behind the Crimson Tide is Clemson, who was ranked #2.

Other SEC teams ranked in the Top 10: Georgia, Florida, and Auburn.

Not a shocker there either.

This has a chance to be one of the best SEC seasons ever.

Each and every week is going to be an epic showdown.

When you take a moment to think about the SEC teams on Alabama’s schedule: Georgia, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Tennessee, LSU, Texas A&M, and Auburn, Alabama will truly have one of, if not the hardest, schedule in the country.

5 of the teams on Alabama’s schedule now were ranked in the top 25 of the The Amway Coaches Poll.

If Alabama finds a way to win the SEC West, and the SEC Championship, there’s no way anyone can argue against Alabama being back in the College Football Playoff.

And that’s exactly one of the goals this Alabama team has this season: make it back to the CFB Playoff.
