Texas sent an offer to four-star wide receiver Dane Key on Monday.
Key is a Lexington, Kentucky native who is rated the No. 2 overall player in the state, according to 247Sports.
He’s one of the top wide receivers out of the 2022 recruiting class and has received offers from several well-respected programs such as Oregon, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Tennessee, and Notre Dame.
Key’s recruiting cycle is likely to pick up speed within the next few months, but Texas needs to be aggressive in terms of landing a highly-rated wideout from this class.
