BOOM! Ohio State football gets first commitment for 2022

Ohio State kept the recruiting momentum going Wednesday night, getting its first football commitment for the 2022 class.

The Ohio State football program is putting together one of its best-ever recruiting classes for 2021, but that doesn’t mean it can’t also get a jump on 2022.

And that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday night. It’s too early to get a composite ranking across multiple recruiting sites, but 247Sports individual metrics have Jyaire Brown, a 6-foot, 165-pounder, rated as a four-star prospect. He is the No. 16 rated corner and No. 122 overall recruit in the entire class.

Brown is the first verbal commitment for the 2020 class so far, and continues the recruiting momentum the program has enjoyed throughout the dead period associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jyaire “Hollywood” Brown is right out under the nose of LSU and the SEC, hailing from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, LA.

He apparently wants to play for BIA instead of DBU.
