Minkah Fitzpatrick is killing it
The Dolphins got the first-round pick of the Steelers for defensive back Minkah Fitpatrick. That deal went down when both teams were 0-2 and many wondered what the heck the Steelers were doing.
They might have acquired a Defensive Player of the Year.
Since that deal, the Steelers have won five of seven games, including their last four. Fitzpatrick has seven takeaways, two forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns this season. The Dolphins received what, as of now, is the 18th pick in the draft for that.
Fitzpatrick is the former No. 11 overall pick at the 2018 NFL draft. The 22-year-old has two more years left on his rookie deal and obviously, is young. The Dolphins are trying to build a young roster, but with the way Fitzpatrick is playing, did they make the wrong choice?
This doesn’t help, either. He basically sealed the Steelers’ win last week with this pick:
