9 things to know about the Bills’ Week 11 opponent, the Dolphins

The Bills and Dolphins will complete their 2019 pair of games on Sunday in Week 11 from South Florida. These aren’t your father’s Dolphins, and they’re not your Dolphins from like a few weeks ago when Buffalo topped Miami in 31-21. Things have …

Allen Hurns the No. 2?

With Preston Williams out, the Dolphins’ clear-cut No. 1 receiver is DeVante Parker. He had 10 targets last week alone in their win over the Colts, hauling in five of those for 69 yards. He has four touchdowns this year. Behind him, tight end and slot target Mike Gesicki is playing well. He has 24 catches this year, tied for 17th among all tight ends, for 276 yards.

But should the Bills be prepping for more Allen Hurns now? He only has 13 catches for 170 yards and one touchdown this year, but he’s started in back-to-back games and played a lot of snaps last week, a season-high 89 percent of snaps. He used those to make just two catches for 32 yards. Wideouts Jakeem Grant and Albert Wilson played in 15 snaps and 35 snaps against the Colts, respectively. The Dolphins look like they’re evaluating what they have in Hurns, and Buffalo might need to prep for it.
