9 things to know about the Bills’ Week 11 opponent, the Dolphins

The Bills and Dolphins will complete their 2019 pair of games on Sunday in Week 11 from South Florida. These aren’t your father’s Dolphins, and they’re not your Dolphins from like a few weeks ago when Buffalo topped Miami in 31-21. Things have …

Plenty of takeaways, playing aggressive

This new-look Dolphins team is an aggressive one.

The Bills went for it a few times on fourth down last week. Buffalo has something to play for at 6-3, the Dolphins are already out of the playoffs. But that doesn’t mean every team will play like they have nothing to lose.

Having said that, that’s how the Dolphins are currently playing. Last week they went for it twice on fourth down on early drives. The first worked, the second failed at the goal line. But it was only the opening frame and the Dolphins said you know what? Let’s go. Keep an eye out for that.

On defense, the aggression has turned into turnovers.

Dolphins defensive back Steven Parker ripped a football out of Colts tight end Eric Ebron’s hands in the end zone last week, preventing a score. Safety Bobby McCain intercepted an overthrow at midfield to give the Dolphins two interceptions during the first half against the Colts. Rookie Nik Needham got a game-changing interception with 5:37 left in the fourth quarter to help Miami secure its victory. Two weeks ago, Sam Darnold was intercepted by this Dolphins defense, too.

Buffalo must avoid turnovers against the Dolphins.
