No ‘plan’ for Gronk to join Brady in Tampa

As the story goes, Rob Gronkowski has caught a lot of passes from Tom Brady. As of now, all of those have occurred with the Patriots. But that’s going to change.

As the story continues, the pair have ended up on the same roster together once again. Brady signed with the Bucs this offseason, while Gronkowski came out of retirement to join him in Tampa. However, according to Gronk, there was never any plan for this to happen.

“No, no that actually was really never the case,” Gronkowski said. “As a player, you always want to see what it’s like somewhere else. [I] thought of that before definitely after playing nine years in the NFL and also thought about it when I came out of retirement. …I loved my time in New England, no doubt about it. But it was another opportunity that presented. But no, we never really ever talked about that before. It kind of just happened. [With] my retirement and him hitting free agency, it kind of just lined up like that.”

So it looks like this just “happened.” Although, not many will believe this.
