6 Alabama players named to AP pre-season All-American list

On Tuesday, three Alabama football players were named Associated Press preseason first-team All-Americans.

On Tuesday, three Alabama football players were named Associated Press preseason first-team All-Americans. There were also three Alabama players named to the second team as well.

Representing the Crimson Tide on the preseason first team All-American list was wide receiver DeVonta Smith, linebacker Dylan Moses and offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood.

Running back Najee Harris and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle,  (as an all-purpose player) and cornerback Patrick Surtain represented Alabama on the second team list.

Alabama had the most players on both the first team, as well as overall on both lists.

Also, it’s important to note that 23 of the AP’s 50 preseason All-Americans will not play this season.
