The Georgia Bulldogs have nation’s fifth-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle. Georgia’s most recent commitment came in the form of four-star running back Ousmane Kromah.
What is next for Georgia football? The Bulldogs are hoping to land a commitment from five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin. Griffin announced via social media that he plans to visit Athens for the Georgia versus Mississippi State game on Oct. 12.
The 6-foot-5, 285 pound included Georgia, USC and Miami in his top schools. Griffin has proven production with 35.5 career sacks at the high school level.
Griffin is ranked as the top defensive lineman in the nation and No. 4 recruit in the country. Griffin plays high school football at Savannah Christian Prep in Savannah, Georgia. Griffin, who is the top recruit in Georgia, is a major in-state priority for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. Georgia is looking to rise few spots in the 2025 recruiting rankings.

Griffin does not currently have commitment date but he is projected to commit to UGA, per 247Sports. Recently, three-star Georgia defensive line commitment Stephon Shivers reopened his recruitment, so Griffin would help fill a need in Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class.
