Plays bigger than his size
Prior to the Diggs trade, many were looking toward the NFL Draft and perhaps different options. Most potential receivers that many pegged for the Bills had one thing: height. But Stefon Diggs is only 6-foot tall.
However, he plays like he’s 6-foot-4 with the amount of contested catches he converts. This is something that the Bills have been lacking in their receiving corp, with both John Brown and Cole Beasley playing to their size as smaller, shifty playmakers. Remember? Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott even made a tongue-and-cheek comment about them being “smurfs.”
On Diggs’ contested catching skill, PFF pegs Diggs as the second-best receiver at making contested catches in the NFL since 2018, behind only Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill:

His ability to convert contested catches will give a boost to Allen’s completion percentage naturally, and again create a different element for a Bills offense that became stale in their playoff loss to the Houston Texans.
